Bat woman! Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-BAT WOMAN! BAT WOMAN! BAT WOMAAAAAN!
Lol, a brown long-eared bat female, flies through the forest at midnight
I'm really pleased with the piece and the way it turned out. I have never done a night scene before and for my first attempt, I think I did alright. I used white acrylic on the stars, moon, the highlights on the trees and a litte bit on the bat. Also, first time drawing a bat! YAY! This is the ultimunt "first-time-for-everything" piece! I don't like bats that much, ever since I saw that Ghoat Bat at the zoo eating a mouse, I've... Never quite gotten over it. So, yeah, I thought the long-eared bat was a nice looking creature... Hehehehe... She's got boobs.
Very nice the texture in the wings makes it more realistic.
-- Oh all the emo children they're always so sad, when I was young I couldn't be sad or they'd beat me down with a stick. Then make me work in the fields and collect more sticks to beat me with.
Yeah and there's laws and rules and circles and chalk!
THANKS! Wow, you actually sounded liek an art critic then! lol

Excellently done! Unlike most bat anthros I've seen (including the one I tried myself), this one truly looks aerodynamic and able to fly. Great job with your portrayal of the anatomy. And I just love her jolly, care-free expression as she flaps across the brightly moonlit night sky!
The night scene environment looks fabulous, especially for your first attempt. The trees are spooky but also beautiful.
One of my favorite details, by the way, is the veining in the bat's ears and wing membranes. It's really nice to see vasculature getting some love outside of gory or surreal artwork.
you and details, my goodness. your pieces are becoming more and more realistic with each one. i like the cool background vs the warmishness of the bat, makes her stand out very well, yet still blend in naturally and believably.
